After its tremendous success on European networks, Premium mobile services are expanding worldwide to allow telcos and cellcos to increase ARPU and SMS traffic by allowing external information providers to build value-added Premium mobile applications over their existing SMS, MMS and WAP network features.

Located as an intermediate gateway between the information provider server and the operator SMS/MMS-Center, MCTEL SMSC Premium Gateway will avoid direct external access to the SMSC, perform information provider authentication, mask subscribers MSISDN numbers using aliasing features, and manage Premium charging and billing. Cellcos and Telcos could take advantage of this new offer to increase ARPU, generate growing income and new profits, and offer advanced value-added services.

The information provider side of the gateway will support SMPP and UCP standard protocols over TCP/IP, VPN, SSL and X.25. Free SMPP, UCP and XML/SOAP APIs could be supplied to the information providers and large accounts to help them setup quickly their applications. The Premium Gateway will seamlessly integrate in your network and interwork with your existing SMS-Centers through SMPP and UCP protocols.
