The mcTel USSD Gateway offers Cellcos a complete USSD messaging solution allowing them to efficiently develop and operate USSD services over existing networks.

The USSD Gateway will manage the communication with the network layers, using HP OpenCall carrier-grade worldwide proven SS7 layers. SMPP connector is included, allowing the Gateway to operate with the SMS Center.

CDR allows to record USSD Gateway usage and to charge for services. Easy to use web management utilities are provided.

Turnkey applications available

mcTel can supply turnkeys applications (or develop any application requested by the operator). Examples of applications include*:

CallMe (request to be called by a friend)
Account credit checking
USSD TopUp
M-payment and credit transfer between accounts
Service activation/deactivation
Network usage summary
Automatic Device Detection (thanks to USSD Application stored SIM Toolkit Application and MCTEL Device Management Center)

*: Some of these applications require the access to other network nodes, for example the SMS Center to send an SMS, or the IN Prepaid Gateway to perform operations on the Prepaid Gateway)
